Who I Work With
Support for adults and young people in a calm, confidential space that feels safe.
Adults
You might be here if...
- You're feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or emotionally numb
- You're navigating grief, trauma, or difficult life changes
- Relationships feel strained or disconnected
- You know something doesn't feel right, but can't quite name it
Counselling can help by...
- Providing a safe, confidential space to explore your feelings
- Helping you make sense of what you're experiencing
- Supporting you through difficult transitions and decisions
- Working at your pace, without judgment or pressure
Young People (11+)
You might be here if...
- You're feeling anxious, stressed, or low most of the time
- School or friendships feel overwhelming or difficult
- Things at home have changed and you're struggling to cope
- You need somewhere safe to talk about what's happening
Counselling can help by...
- Giving you a private, confidential space that's just for you
- Helping you understand and manage difficult feelings
- Supporting you through challenges at your own pace
- Listening without judgment—you choose what to share
Privacy for young people: I work with children and young people using Gillick competence (assessing whether you can make decisions about your own care) to determine if parental consent is needed. Your sessions are confidential, and I won't share what we discuss without your agreement, except in situations involving safeguarding concerns or risk of harm. This is fully explained when we start working together, so you'll always know where you stand.
My approach
Whether you're an adult or a young person, I work in a person-centred, trauma-informed way. This means:
- You set the pace and the agenda
- The space is safe, non-judgmental, and confidential
- We work collaboratively, respecting your choices
- There's no pressure to share before you're ready
Whether you're seeking support for yourself or a young person, I'm here to help.
